Canonical Disclaimers — Transmute App
Purfect Labs Inc.
Effective date: October 8, 2026
These disclaimers of Purfect Labs Inc. ("Purfect Labs") are incorporated by reference into the Transmute App Terms of Service and End User License Agreement. Statements about the App in Purfect Labs' marketing are qualified by them.
D1 — Egress disclosure
The App is a proxy. Sanitized requests are forwarded — by your own machine, over your own network connection — to the third-party LLM provider you configure. The App reduces what is exposed in those requests; it does not eliminate transmission to your provider. Your relationship with each LLM provider, including that provider's handling of the data it receives, is governed solely by your agreement with that provider.
D2 — Detection-scope disclaimer (the load-bearing one)
Detection is pattern- and configuration-based and limited to your enabled detection packs. Content the App does not match is forwarded to your LLM provider unchanged. No detection technology — ours or anyone's — identifies all sensitive information in all contexts. Purfect Labs makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee that the App will detect, redact, tokenize, or otherwise transform any particular data, category of data, or proportion of data, and disclaims all liability arising from data the App does not match, transform, or log.
D3 — No compliance guarantee
The App is a technical control that can support a compliance effort (for example, tokenization of matched data and tamper-evident audit records). It does not, by itself, make you compliant with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, FERPA, GDPR, CPRA, or any other law, regulation, or framework. You are solely responsible for your own legal and regulatory obligations.
D4 — Bypass disclosure
The App operates by directing AI-client traffic through a gateway on your machine. Anyone with sufficient privilege on the machine can reconfigure, disable, or bypass the gateway. The App is a control for cooperative use and accidental exposure — not a containment boundary against a privileged, adversarial user.
D5 — AS-IS and AI-output disclaimer
THE APP, DOCUMENTATION, DETECTION PACKS, AND UPDATES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. OUTPUT RETURNED BY THIRD-PARTY LLM PROVIDERS IS GENERATED BY THOSE PROVIDERS' MODELS; PURFECT LABS DOES NOT CONTROL, REVIEW, SCAN, OR WARRANT SUCH OUTPUT. THE APP'S RESPONSE PATH RESTORES TOKENS THE APP ISSUED; IT DOES NOT SCAN OR FILTER PROVIDER OUTPUT.
D6 — Zero-data-surface statement (the true claim, scoped)
Purfect Labs never receives your prompts, code, files, credentials, or model responses through its trial or licensing mechanisms. Trial installs send pseudonymous usage counters; licensed installs may fetch signed renewal files. Renewal hosts see the URL and connection metadata. License verification is local. See the Privacy Policy for the exact data fields and retention.
